Why a group tour is the best way to live a village

Setting off with a group and a tour lead takes nothing away from authenticity: on the contrary, it opens doors that would stay closed on your own.

There is a prejudice to dispel: that group travel is necessarily a hurried crowd, lined up behind a coloured umbrella. In the villages it works the opposite way.

When you arrive with a tour lead who is at home there, the town opens up: the baker lets you into the back room, the winery opens a bottle that isn't on the list, the elder in the square tells you the right legend. These are doors that, on your own, would stay closed — and that an accompanied group, instead, walks straight through.

And then there's the company. Strangers set off and come home friends: you share a dinner, a walk, a laugh in front of a sunset. Our tours are born this way — itineraries designed by us, dates on a calendar, a group and a storyteller of the land. You sign up: we take care of the rest.
