What data we process
We process: the data you provide when creating an account in the customer area (name, email, phone number and a password that is always stored in encrypted form); the data relating to your tour bookings (chosen tour, departure, number of participants, any notes); and the communications you exchange with us. The website's contact form does not send data to our servers: it opens WhatsApp or your email client with the message already filled in.
Why we process it (purposes)
We use your data to create and manage your account, handle tour bookings and send you service communications (confirmations, departure updates), respond to your requests and — only if you have given your consent — send you promotional communications. We do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for marketing purposes.
On what legal basis
We process account and booking data to perform the contract and the pre-contractual measures you request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); promotional communications only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which can be withdrawn at any time; and certain minimum security measures on the basis of our legitimate interest in protecting the service and its users (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as the account remains active: you can delete it yourself from the customer area and, in that case, the associated data is erased. Booking data may be retained for as long as necessary to meet the administrative and tax obligations required by law. Temporary links (email verification, password reset) expire within a few hours and are removed automatically.
Who we share data with
To deliver the service we rely on providers that process data on our behalf, acting as data processors: an email provider for sending service emails and the hosting of the website on servers located within the European Union. These providers process the data solely in accordance with our instructions. We do not transfer your personal data to artificial intelligence tools.
Cookies
The website uses only essential technical cookies, including the cookie that keeps your session active when you log in to the customer area. We do not use profiling cookies or third-party advertising tracking tools: for this reason no consent banner is required.
Content and images created with artificial intelligence
Some of the descriptive texts of the tours and some of the atmospheric images on the website are also produced with the help of artificial intelligence tools, always reviewed by our editorial team and combined with real photographs of the places. This content is for illustrative purposes: images generated with AI do not necessarily provide a faithful representation of specific places, people or details. The use of artificial intelligence concerns only the creation of the website's editorial content, never your personal data.
Your rights
At any time you may access your data, rectify it, erase it, restrict or object to its processing, request a copy in a portable format and withdraw the consents you have given. From the customer area you can update your data, download a copy of your data and your bookings ("Download my data") and delete your account. For any request write to furoretravel@libero.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it).
